Why did you make a deck directed at Shadow Work?

Because Goliath, as the Writer, Illustrator, and Creator of this deck found that the esoteric market place is over-inflated with “light-baring” decks, books, and tools that completely ignore the totality of oneness. The El Goliath Tarot Deck has been designed for the integration of shadow and light, providing the tools that include all parts of the collective spectrum, from light to darkness, and embrace the natural world we live in.

What is this deck about?

All things written and drawn in this deck are based upon the creator’s personal experiences, perspectives, and lessons – and my primary purpose of wanting to create this Tarot Deck was based on my own inner-reflections to explore a safe visual place that I could expand on my experiences, reflect in, and document much like a diary.

We all know that information/data that we receive can only be interpreted through the lens that we see it though, and this is why we often see things differently. This is what causes contrast, and creates what is known as “spectrum”. It is not up to someone else to judge, diminish, or deconstruct another’s interpretations.

The construct of Art is subjective; therefore everyone’s opinion is valid in his or her eyes.  The included guidebook is intended to explain my drawings and artwork, and will hopefully allow you to expand your own perceptions.

It can take a while to connect and bond with this deck, so please give yourself the time to understand and take in all the imagery and interpretations.

Did you use real snakes in the website and Instagram photographs?

Yes, these are real snakes and safety precautions were taken, with professional snake handlers used during the photoshoots to ensure the snakes were treated with the necessary care. Goliath took each and every photograph himself.

How is the El Goliath Tarot Deck different to other decks?

The El Goliath Tarot Deck is physically much bigger than most other decks, in terms of overall dimensions and weight, therefore it does cost more to produce, pack, and ship from my location to yours. This is intended to be a big deck, hence the word “Goliath”.

This deck is an entirely self-published indie deck, and did not have any external financial support, either through crowd-funding or any other external backing. It has been completely funded by the Artist (the Creator). There is no marketing team, or Publishing House to manage it. The El Goliath Tarot Deck took almost 4 years to create!

There has been no expense spared in the production of this deck.  The cards in the second edition are 300GSM Matt Laminated, silk card stock. With a custom sleek gloss box, with black velvet insert and ribbons. 

The art work was drawn by hand from real-life references, using grey lead pencil on A3 or A1 size paper.  The illustrations were not created digitally using a computer or tablet, so please know that when you purchase this deck, or even a single print, it was drawn with meticulous care and detail, and with a lot of time, sweat, and tears.  

The El Goliath Tarot Deck Guidebook explains each and every image used within the deck, the reason for using that image for the particular card, and what inspired that imagery.  Many sections of the guidebook have been written based on personal experiences and can highlight the relevance of the Tarot to everyone’s life.  The Guidebook can be very dense reading, and at just under 80,000 words it is longer than some novels.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards and PayPal via the secure check-out option on our website. El Goliath Tarot Deck uses a secure Internet Payment Gateway provided by a major International Financial Services Company, and we never capture or store your credit card information.  Our Internet Payment Provider will advise us when your order has been successfully paid, and we will ship the El Goliath Tarot Deck directly to you using the shipping information you have provided.

Can I return a deck back to this website if it was gifted to me by someone, or I purchased it through another provider?

Sorry, but if you purchased The El Goliath Tarot Deck from a retailer then you must contact them directly.  If you purchased directly from this website, then please contact us at info@theelgoliathtarotdeck.comand explain why you require a refund.  We will generally refund or replace only if the product is faulty or damaged during shipping.  Please contact us for more information.  Of course, you always retain your full statutory rights. 

Are refunds available?

Refunds are provided only when the deck is received by you and is damaged, or if your order was shipped but never received.  Depending on the situation, your refund options are either a replacement deck from The El Goliath Tarot, or a credit card refund through your credit card company.  Any statutory rights will always be retained.

Our shipping process is very rigorous, and we take great care to ensure your El Goliath Tarot Deck will arrive in perfect condition.  All shipments can be tracked, so you will know exactly when to expect your wonderful new deck.

 

If I lose or damage a card can I re-order a reprint of that particular card?

Unfortunately, we are not able to do this as the deck is only available as a whole-boxed product.  The cards and guidebook are not sold separately. 

How will I receive the El Goliath Tarot Deck?

This deck is shipped directly from us to you.  It is  wrapped securely in bubble-wrap and placed into a tough shipping bag or box.  If you order more than one deck in the same order, then they may come in a single shipment to reduce your shipping costs.  

How does your shipping work?

As the deck ships from the USA, standard worldwide shipping costs apply for this product, and it will vary from location to location. We have negotiated preferential pricing where possible, and we have passed these savings onto you.  The El Goliath Tarot Deck weighs about 1 kilogram (or approximately 32oz). We understand that you will want to receive your deck as soon as possible, so during our checkout process you will be presented with express shipping.  Unfortunately once your order has been submitted and confirmed, it's not possible to update  the shipping. 

How can I track my shipping?

Shortly after you have completed your purchase you will receive an e-mail confirming your order.   When your package is dispatched from our office, you will receive a shipping confirmation email which will contain the tracking number, so you will be able to follow your shipment during its journey.  

What if I have to cancel my order?

Please contact us immediately at info@theelgoliathtarotdeck.com if you need to cancel your order.  We will try our best to cancel your order and reverse the charge, but if the item has already shipped then unfortunately it is too late to cancel.  

How heavy is the El Goliath Tarot Deck? And what are the dimensions?

The El Goliath Tarot Deck is a large format deck, with the box measuring 254mm x 182mm x 38mm (10" x 7.2" x 1.5") and weighing 920gm (2 lbs).  The cards are 88mm X 126mm (3.5” x 5").

Yes you can, but please take a picture of it and send it through to us at info@theelgoliathtarotdeck.com, and we will try to share as many as possible on our social media pages.  Of course, you don’t have to show your face, or share your identity, as your privacy is completely respected by us. 

You can also post a photograph of your tattoo and post it to your social media, but please include the hashtag #elgoliathtarot. Spread the love!  We love to see how you’re enjoying and responding to the artwork.

Who can I contact for any questions I may have regarding a card’s meaning?

Please refer to the guidebook and focus on your own inner-relationship when connecting with the artwork.  Let yourself feel what the card means to you. In order to develop your relationship with this deck, or any deck, you need to hone in on your own interpretations of the card rather than relying on what someone else may tell you. The guidebook is a complimentary add-on to the deck, but if you choose not to read the guidebook at all then that is fantastic.  That shows that you are truly connecting to the deck in your own unique and beautiful way.
